Description

The sensor is a combination of 3-axis gyroscope, accelerometer and compass. It allows you to measure acceleration, magnetic field and angular velocity in the congigurable ranges. It communicates via the I2C bus, it is supplied with the voltage of 3.3 V. It is designed for VR applications. It has a connector QWIIC. It works with a voltage from 1.65 V to 3.6 V.

To communicate with the central unit, it uses the I2C interface through the QWIIC connector or goldpin pin. The sensor can also communicate using SPI and UART.

The product is compatible with Arduino

To facilitate the work with this module, manufacturer prepared a user manualandlibrary for Arduino.

BNO080 VR IMU 9DOF

Since the maximum voltage, with which the system works, is 3.3 V, to work with Arduino, needed is a voltage converter. The exceptions are the modules, operating with voltages of 3.3 V, for example,Arduino Pro Mini 328 - 3.3 V/8 MHz.

Pins

The sensor has pins for mounting the goldpin connectors - 2.54 mm pitch (not supplied, purchased separately and self-soldered).
