the introduction of electronic technologies.<br \/>\nThese mechanical devices used the physical properties of a rotating solid to maintain a constant orientation in space.<br \/>\nToday, small and large electronics come to our aid.  <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-49b90aa elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Electronic gyroscope - what is it?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d43976b class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/botland.com.pl\/23-zyroskopy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">gyroscope<\/a> is also known as an inertial measurement unit (IMU).<br \/>\nIt is an electronic device used to measure <strong>the angular velocity<\/strong> (rotational motion) and <strong>angular acceleration<\/strong> (change in angular velocity) of an object in space.<br \/>\nThey take into account the principle of using the <strong>Coriolis effect<\/strong> in their operation.<br \/>\nExample: a sink with a drain allows you to observe how water behaves around the drain.<br \/>\nThis movement is caused by the rotation of the Earth.<br \/>\nIn the northern hemisphere, this water will &#8220;circulate&#8221; clockwise, and in the southern hemisphere in the other, which is precisely due to the Coriolis effect.     <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section physical principle of operation and the technology used.<br \/>\nGyroscopes can be used independently or be part of more complex systems, such as the aforementioned <a href=\"https:\/\/botland.com.pl\/508-czujniki-9dof-imu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">inertial measurement units<\/a>, gyrocompasses, navigation systems or course reference systems.<br \/>\nToday we are particularly interested in <strong>microelectromechanical system (MEMS) gyroscopes<\/strong>.<br \/>\nMEMS (Microelectromechanical Systems) gyroscopes are a type of inertial sensors that use microelectronic and micromechanical technologies to measure the angular velocity of an object&#8217;s rotation.<br \/>\nSmall structures made of silica or other materials used in microelectromechanics are made to rotate, and then a change in the direction of rotation induces Coriolis forces, which are measured and converted into <strong>angular velocity information<\/strong>.    <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column href=\"https:\/\/botland.com.pl\/23-zyroskopy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">gyroscopes<\/a> includes microelectronic <strong>MEMS sensors<\/strong> that incorporate microscale mechanical structures, electronic circuits for measurement and signal processing, and control circuits.<br \/>\nThese components are integrated on a single chip <strong>,<\/strong> making them <strong>small, lightweight and energy-efficient<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe central component is a responsive <a href=\"https:\/\/botland.com.pl\/6-czujniki\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">sensor<\/a>.<br \/>\nOther sensors are often capacitive sensors, which use changes in electrical capacitance between microscopic elements in response to movements, and <a href=\"https:\/\/botland.com.pl\/1557-czujniki-piezoelektryczne\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">piezoelectric sensors<\/a>, which use the phenomenon of piezoelectricity to generate signals in response to mechanical stresses.<br \/>\nEmbedded electronic circuits can amplify, filter and analyze the resulting signals to obtain <strong>accurate angular velocity measurements<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe resulting data is processed by control circuits that allow the user to control the gyroscope&#8217;s behavior.<br \/>\nThis includes all calibration, noise data-wpel-link=\"internal\">DFRobot Gravity<\/a>, the gyroscope and accelerometer are so often found in tandem?<br \/>\nThe answer lies in 3D space &#8211; or, if one prefers, 4D, as this aspect will also appear to some extent in this explanation. <a href=\"https:\/\/botland.com.pl\/23-zyroskopy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Gyroscopes<\/a> measure the angular velocity of an object&#8217;s change in orientation, while <a href=\"https:\/\/botland.com.pl\/19-akcelerometry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">accelerometers<\/a> measure linear acceleration, or changes in an object&#8217;s velocity in a linear direction.<br \/>\nWhen you combine these two types of sensors, you can get <strong>complete information about an object&#8217;s motion<\/strong> in three-dimensional space.<br \/>\nGyroscopes can also be susceptible to drift, a certain gradual change in angular velocity measurement values over time, while accelerometers can be susceptible to noise and interference.<br \/>\nBy using both <a href=\"https:\/\/botland.com.pl\/6-czujniki\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">sensors<\/a> simultaneously, these errors can be compensated for and <strong>more stable and accurate measurements<\/strong> can be obtained. \/>\nGyroscopes help <strong>detect changes in orientation<\/strong>, while accelerometers help <strong>detect linear accelerations<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIt is also difficult to talk about sensible motion tracking and determining the position of an object without reference to external signals, i.e. inertial navigation systems, where once again combining data from both types of sensors comes to advanced.<br \/>\nYou can use a MEMS gyroscope in an <strong>image stabilization<\/strong> project <strong>for video or still cameras<\/strong>.<br \/>\nWith a gyroscope, you will be able to detect camera shake or movement so that you can apply the appropriate corrections, resulting in smooth, stable recordings or photos.<br \/>\nSince the gyroscope is well known in aviation, MEMS models can be used <strong>in projects to build your own drone or to control the flight of a drone<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThey are then used to stabilize position and respond to changes in direction and orientation.<br \/>\nInteresting applications are being drawn in the burgeoning realm of <strong>virtual reality (VR)<\/strong> and its derivatives, where something must, after all, be responsible for tracking the movement of the user&#8217;s head and enabling an increasingly realistic experience of interaction with the virtual environment.     <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
