Product description: Pololu DRV8833 - two-channel motor controller 10.8 V / 1.2 A
The module based on Texas Instruments DRV8833 is a two-channel direct current bruising controller. The advantage of the system is extremely small dimensions - the board is the size of a 14-pin DIP enclosure. The module can control motors supplied with voltage from 2.0 V to 11 V with continuous current consumption up to 1.2 V. The controller channels can be connected to increase the current capacity - up to 2.4 A. The kit includes the module and goldpin connectors.

For proper operation of the module, power supply - between pins - VIN and GND and connect the outputs responsible for motor movement, which are described in the table below. In order to control the speed, a PWM signal should be given to the inputs controlling the direction.

|AISEN||Output to limit current for channel A. By default in low state - no limitation.|
|BISEN||Output to limit current for channel B. By default in low state - no limitation.|
There are soldering fields on the module allowing to place the resistors in 1206 housing or less. They are used to limit the current flowing through channels A and B. Details in the DRV8833 .

The documentation of the DRV8833 system states that the maximum continuous current per channel is 1,5 A. Polol's tests have shown that at a current of 1.5 A the temperature protection switches off the system after about one minute of continuous operation. Stable operation is possible with current below 1.3 A per channel.

There is a transistor in the system, protecting the module against reverse power connection and passive elements necessary for proper operation of the controller.
