Description

Module decoder stereo DAC based on UDA1334A, it communicates using the classic default I2S interface or 16-bit, 20-bit or 24-bit. It is supplied with the voltage from 3.3 V to 5 V, making it compatible with devices such as Raspberry Pi or Arduino. Characterized by the absence of damping and distortion. On board is a 3.5 mm Jack to connect e.g. headphones.

Pins

The module communicates using the I2S interface. It also has pins, such as Word Select (left / right clock) Bit Clock Lines, pin Mute and filter de-emphasis. Detailed information is available in the user manual provided by the manufacturer.

PIN Description
VIN Powered by 3.3 V to 5 V.
GND The mass of the system.
WSEL Word Select or Left / Right Clock - informates the DAC when the data is for the left channel and when for the right channel.
DIN Data in - the input of data.
BCLK. Bit Clock - tells the amplifier when to read the data from the data pin.
MCLK

This system does not need MCLK, if the audio device has a Jack, you should leave them unconnected.

AGND

Clean, analog ground. It can be used as an analog reference to get a more clean signal.

SCLK

Clock line.

Mute

Set to high state mutes the output signal.

DEEM

It can be used to add a filter de-emphasis.

PLL

Low for the Arduino by default. It can be set to high state to change video frequency on PAL or NTSC.

SF0/SF1

Is used to change the I2S input data format, low state by default (details on the back of the board).
