Description

Set of elements for self-assembly of the NAS file server on the basis of theOdroid XU4. Included is a blue case for the minicomputer, which also holds two 3.5" hard drive HDD or SSD module with 2.8" display and converter USB - SATA, USB 3.0 cable and screws, and the mounting nut. CloudShell 2 allows you to create RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD, BASIC (PM) and SPAN. In our range there is alsoanother version of the case.

After almost a month of use, all I can say is that it works. At today's price (you should also add the cost of ODROID-XU4 and memory - the whole thing to build a NAS (without disks) - almost PLN 1000. This is a lot considering that the electronics module is quite underdeveloped - for example in my RAID1 hardware configuration - after stopping the system, one of the disks would not turn off. I had to switch to PM mode and do software RAID. And that was not the goal. Strange behavior at startup - disks spin up, after 3-4 seconds you can hear them slowing down, and finally spin up again . Now I would definitely choose something ready, because for an additional PLN 200-400 you can count on a server with space for 4 disks and stable hardware and software.
