Product description: Autodesk Inventor Basics Course - ON-LINE Version
Thisonline course covers the basics of 3D engineering modeling in the popular Autodesk Inventor program. It is designed for beginners who have not had any contact with the program. Training is based on practical examples which have real application in everyday work of e.g. constructors. The course will prove useful as training material for engineering students and industry professionals.
First steps in design
During the course you will learn about all key stages of a project. If you have never worked with CAD software before, this training will be really useful. You will learn about Inventor from A to Z and basic 2D sketching methods.
What will you learn during the training?
- Use the basic tools of Inventor
- Create assemblies and apply assembly constraints
- Make and edit 2D drawings of parts
- Move parts around within an assembly
- Model parts from sketches and finished parts
- Use the Content Center library
- Create 2D documentation
3D modeling of parts
Now that you have a basic understanding of how to create and modify 2D sketches, you will be able to continue your training by moving on to topics related to exploring structural elements. You will learn how to easily create and edit structural planes, and how to use Inventor's most important tools(straight draw, compound draw, rib, rounding, chamfering, mirroring , etc.) in modeling a part.
Creating assemblies of parts
Inventor allows you to combine parts in a single file and, while they are still being created, check on the computer screen how they will work together. During the course you will learn the main capabilities of working with assemblies. You will see how to put elements together and how to set them in motion. You will learn the basic methods of visualizing elements in Inventor, in order to present them professionally.
Faster and easier modeling work
When creating a large project, you can model each element from scratch, such as a simple screw or bearing. However, working on such details takes a lot of time. Autodesk Inventor is a program that has a special Content Center library, which has many standard elements. There are bearings, bolts, nuts, washers and many other parts that are available on the market. During the training you will learn how to use the library and significantly speed up your work using ready-made elements while building assemblies.
Creating 2D documentation
An important element when creating a part model is 2D documentation. Project without it is incomplete and worthless. In this course you will see how to make 2D documentation in the form of technical drawing. If you have already had to create documentation in one of the CAD programs, you know how much time it can take. Inventor allows you to automatically generate projections based on the model created. During the course you will also learn how to make cross-sections, isometric projections, pulls or breaks using the available tools.
This course has been prepared based on Autodesk Inventor version 2018, if you are using an older version of the program, you will also be able to use it without any problem to be able to learn the basics of 3D modeling. The online course contains all the materials that were used by the author when discussing the lessons. They are fully compatible with the version of the program used in the course.
