Raspberry Pi Pico world premiere

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has just come up with a new proposal for us. Here’s an amazing minimization to the limit while maintaining the best performance. Raspberry Pi Pico is a humble sized module with a custom RP2040 microcontroller made in the UK. That’s a great pit-stop during the wait for RPi 5!

RP2040 Raspberry chip is based on ARM Cortex M0+ clocked at 133 MHz. The module has 264 kB of SRAM memory and 2 MB of Flash memory. It is equipped with 26 GPIO pins that operate at 3.3 V and a temperature sensor. Raspberry Pi Pico can be programmed in C/C++, and we make it happen conveniently through a microUSB connector.

Pico can also be programmed in MicroPython programming language. We have included a practical mini tutorial for you, accompanied by GIFs – it’s on the product page. First steps shouldn’t be difficult even for complete beginners. In addition, manufacturer has provided a repository for C language, and Python is yet to come in today’s episode – we will feature it for sure.

Xiaomi Mi SmartBand 5

Xiaomi SmartBand 5 is all about an AMOLED touchscreen display with comfortable 126 x 294 pixel res. Smartband uses magnetic charging technology, so the whole process can take place without having to pull out the pill. However, associated with the widely understood life style, smartband is also a specific analytical tool.

Creality Ender-6 3D printer

A new proud Creality 3D printer model joins the Creality family.

The 3D printer from Creality, the latest Creality Ender-6 , is a robust design measuring 495 x 495 x 650 mm. The metal frame is encased in clear plastic, giving the printer an enclosed work chamber. Ender-6 has a motherboard with silent TMC2208 stepper motor drivers. During operation, the device generates a sound not exceeding 50 dB. The dimensions of the printer’s work area are: 250 x 250 x 400 mm. The set consists of partially assembled elements so the assembly takes several minutes.

Metrics or imperials?

New Ender offers improved run stability and print accuracy down to 0.1mm thanks to its cubic, ergonomic design. Carborundum glass heating table – a fine looking standard with Enders already – means better heat conduction, heating and  adhesion for your mighty 3D prints.

The whole thing is managed by a motherboard equipped with TMC2208 motor controllers.
