Arduino User Groups – return after a short break

Reading time: 2 min.

Announced at Arduino Week, the return of Adruino User Groups has finally materialised. What can we expect after a two-year pause? What does Arduino have planned for brand enthusiasts?

Makers for makers, so what is Adruino User Groups

Arduino User Groups are local meetings of blue boards fans with other enthusiasts of similar technologies. Such meetings are a good opportunity for Arduino users, designers and makers to get to know the latest news from the manufacturer, share opinions, ideas for new projects and exchange their knowledge and skills. However, the nature of the meetings does not have to be strictly Arduino-related – that’s up to the organizers.

Of course, the return of AUG meetings does not mean that we lose anything from the previously available sources of knowledge. The online community still remains the most important pillar of the Arduino world, where AUGs will serve as a supplement. However, as we saw during the Covid-19 pandemic, live meetings are very important and in the longer term not everything can be kept online.

Map of events. How to find an AUG meeting in your area?

Okay, I’m willing to meet. So what now? Where to look for information? To make it easier to organize, there is a special website, where you can apply and find the official Arduino User Groups meeting closest to you.

Due to the fact that the program has just been re-launched, there won’t be many meetings yet, but with time their number and frequency will surely only increase. However, if you don’t want to wait until someone organises an AUG in your area, you can apply to organise one yourself. Just fill out the application form on Arduino website.

From the beginning – how to start the fun?

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be an engineer, a respected programmer or a professional electronics designer – anyone can sign up for AUG meetings, even someone who doesn’t know what Arduino is.

The main goal of the meetings is to introduce people interested in this technology without any pressure and with a lot of fun, and to convince themselves with own eyes about the advantages and joy of using and satisfaction.

Botland has been cooperating with Arduino for years, so you can find their best products in our offer. We encourage you to visit our website.
