Swiss precision is not only about watches and banking at the highest level. Home and professional workshop are equally demanding places where there are no approximations or compromises when it comes to professional measurements. Only the right measuring tools can provide such unparalleled assurance of accuracy.
Measuring devices for everyone – enhance your workshop and have everything at hand
Measuring tools is a term as broad as a load-bearing wall and denotes a whole bag of different inventions. They can be meters, oscilloscopes, probes, function generators, voltage indicators or scales, but also measures and callipers, both electronic and traditional ones. Such comprehensive supplier providing a wide range of products in this branch is Voltcraft – a company established in 1982 in Germany and based in Switzerland. It has almost forty years of experience on the European market and it’s definitely worth a shot.
Voltcraft offer includes tools for various aplliances – household, construction, laboratory or industrial. No self-respecting garage or home workshop can do without them. You never quite know which of the tools will come in handy in a given situation, and we tend to forget that we have them in the drawer at all. The reliability of the measurement and what feedback we get is determined by professional equipment. The use of measurement data is another matter altogether – the point is that they should be of high quality and their measurement should go hand in hand with absolute safety. And the price does not have to be rocket high in comparison with the value and usefulness of our device. It’s even better if we have some “takeaway work” ahead and we can bring portable instruments along.
Find exactly what you are looking for
Multimeters are the biggest part of Voltcraft cake. And there’s a reason for that.
Voltcraft clamp meters – handy thing allowing measurement without breaking the current loop. Our machines can run while measuring without stopping – simply place a wire in the jaws. Good for measurements in hard-to-reach places. The rubber cover provides a stable and secure grip, even with sweaty hands.
Voltcraft universal multimeters are the most important equipment in an electronics technician’s workshop, right next to an oscilloscope. It measures not only electrical values – a good, functional multimeter will make temperature or lighting measurements for us.

Voltcraft Energy Logger provides information on energy consumption of electrical devices in real time. We often ask: what is consuming so much? With the Voltcraft Energy Logger 4000, we can identify which appliances consume the most electricity. The Voltcraft Energy Logger 4000 can take measurements for up to 6 months and store the results in its built-in memory. There is also a possibility to transfer them to an SDHC memory card, which is not included in the set. The meter has a three-level display, on which we can find:
- energy consumption values,
- power factor cos φ,
- frequency,
- current voltage.
Voltcraft PM-37 measuring adapter is placed between the USB connector and the receiver – everything is indicated by the IN and OUT directional arrows. Voltage and current values will be displayed alternately, and we will reliably measure the output voltage and current drawn by the device connected to the USB socket. Great for determining if you have enough amperage. Safe and uncomplicated measurements.
Measuring adapters – versions:
- Voltcraft PM-45 measurement adapter
- Voltcraft measuring adapter DLA-1L 16
- Voltcraft measuring adapter SMA-10
The Voltcraft MS-100 non-contact voltage tester allows direct and indirect measurement of DC voltage up to 12 V and AC voltage up to 250 V. Quite a range. Along the device you’ll find a horizontal, high-contrast display, and at just twenty grams long, the 132 mm long “needle” will fit into an electronics and electrical technician’s pocket as easily as a handy screwdriver for every need. Anyway, the end of the Voltcraft MS-100 tester resembles precisely a flat screwdriver. Compact, handy, simple for every user.
Transistor tester and mains socket testers are a separate group of Voltcraft measuring devices. The VC40 mains socket tester offers polarisation test, voltage drop test and RCD fault current test, while the TT100 transistor tester will check any NPN / PNP transistor, Darlington transistor, MOSFET, (J)-FET, triac, thyristor, LED, bi-colour LED and diode networks for us.
Miscellaneous Voltcraft tools and other
Voltcraft’s range also includes crocodile clamp kits, kits containing protected measuring tips and an industrial thermometer. The exact technical specification of each device can be found on the product page. It is worth checking, measuring, trying out, comparing? Sure it is.
