What’s New at Botland? #41

Reading time: 2 min.

We hope you are enjoying the summer. The last time we saw each other was in June – check out what we had going on then. No less hot will be today’s news in What’s New at Botland series.

Artillery 3D printers for home

If you follow our blog and Botland social media accounts – in case of English version we especially mean Instagram – you’ve surely come across Artillery printers already. A home 3D printer is the dream of many creativity-driven makers, and nothing gives you the ability to create like these handy machines in general. Fortunately, in the case of Artillery 3D printers, the affordable price, simplified assembly doable in just a few minutes and really quiet operation allow them to be used more and more often in our very homes. Currently in the Artillery offer – as of July 2021 – you can choose from three models differing mainly in the size of the workspace, power supply and some nice details.

  • All of Artillery 3D printers are virtually 95% assembled – you just need to calibrate them.
  • They are made entirely of metal components.

Artillery Hornet

Agressive Hornet is the perfect choice for your home office desk. A satisfactory working area of 220 x 220 x 250 mm and overall dimensions of 470 x 410 x 450 mm make the machine usable even in a tight space. The printer has a Bowden-type extruder. Wires connecting extruder with hotend have been integrated with the tube for leading the filament, thanks to which we connect one thicker wire and we do not have to worry about the wires organization. Tempered glass workbench makes the print adhere better to the table. The printer is powered by a 350W power supply. The 32-bit board that is the heart of the Hornet was manufactured by Artillery itself. Only the auto-leveling sensor is missing.

Artillery Sidewinder X-1, Artillery Genius

Sidewinder working area is 300 x 300 x 400 mm. It is equipped with a motherboard with silent stepper motor drivers and a sensor for lack of filament. In the case of this printer we are dealing with the direct drive method – extruder and hotend working with Volcano nozzle are somehow integrated. Sidewinder also has a glass working table. In the case of this model, the issue of cables has been solved in an interesting way, since all the visible ones are made in the form of integrated tapes. Sidewinder is often given as an alternative to Creality CR-10S. The 650W power supply is responsible for powering the machine, and to make up for the lack of auto-leveling we have here a touch screen.

Artillery Genius, on the other hand, is a design very similar to the Sidewinder, but a bit smaller. Here we have a 220 x 220 x 250 mm workspace, a glass work table, a filament sensor, a direct system and a touch screen to control the device. The Genius is set in motion by a 450-watt power supply. New ATTEN soldering stations and accessories

ATTEN is taking over Botland store soldering category with no regrets. The well-known bestsellers like those branded Velleman and Zhaoxin are now joined by soldering stations from our new supplier. And these are not only stations! Resistance soldering irons for soldering irons, heating elements (heaters) dedicated for  ATTEN brand stations, hot air accessories and soldering tips – everything is collected in one place, in an orderly and clear way about what hardware is for what and for whom. You’ll find low-voltage, de-energized heaters for safer soldering, anti-static and noise-reducing properties and more.

It’s worth mentioning that we are servicing & supporting all ATTEN stations.

New Li-Pol batteries and battery chargers

Now we are talking about batteries and chargers straight from Electro River and GFC Energy. This equipment was created for robots and modeling fans who create everything where electric propulsion is necessary. Electro River and GFC Energy Li-Pol batteries, however, were primarily desogmed for Air Soft Gun replicas, and more precisely for Air Electric Guns (AEG). Every skilled urban and forest warrior knows the advantage of an electric motor over an ASG tensioned spring replica, and with the new batteries your might handcannons will surely cope with even the fastest projectile rate.

There is also something besides the batteries themselves. A good, multi-functional microprocessor battery charger such as the Electro River Wave Charger with balancer or the GFC Energy Smart Battery Charger will allow you to seamlessly charge cells such as:

  • Li-Pol, Li-HV (lithium-polymer),
  • Li-Ion (lithium-ion),
  • Li-Fe (Li-Fe-PO4, lithium-iron-phosphate),
  • Ni-Cd (nickel-cobalt),
  • Ni-Mh (nickel-metal hydride),
  • Pb (lead-acid).

Sunlu Rainbow filaments

A spectrum of colors and high gloss after printing! Rainbow-colored PLA and PLA+ Silk from Sunlu will not be mistaken for any other – just a glance at the side cross-section of plastic fibers reveals the imagination of the creators of this unusual material for 3D printing.

Rainbow Filaments are made from materials consisting primarily of corn starch. Thanks to this, our filament is fully biodegradable, it is characterized by low shrinkage and has been tempered to obtain resistance to breaking. The diameter of the filament without surprises – standard 1,75 mm and the weight of the spool is 1 kg net. Orders will be delivered to you vacuum packed with moisture absorber. By the way: some of you may know Sunlu thanks to Fila Dryer filament drying system and crazy 3D pens.

Presale – Snapmaker 2.0 rotary modules

Rotary module for Snapmaker 2.0 A250

Rotary module for Snapmaker 2.0 A350

These revolutionary modules extend the capabilities of the Snapmaker 2.0 A250 and Snapmaker 2.0 A350 printers. A real treat for modelers, gadgeteers, and battle and board gamers – the rotators allow lucky Snapmaker owners to carve and rotary engrave to create figures in oval pieces of wood or engrave, for example, on a cup or glass or… on a tank ready to play out your model multiplayer carpet battle.

The module for A250 version works with objects with a maximum length of 70 mm and a maximum radius of 68 mm.
The module for A350 version can be used for workpieces with a maximum length of 225 mm and a maximum radius of 68 mm.

The quality of the work done with the module is really impressive – just lake a look at the photo of the lion with the shield figurine.
