In the shortest month of the year we have for you not so short list of novelties that have recently hit the shelves of our shop. In today’s episode: a bit of 3D printing, a handful of soldering, and a pinch of novelties in electronics. Welcome to the next, 47th news review!
Flashforge Creator 3 Pro
We start out with a big one, or even a double one, just like this 3D printer, which is able to print two 3D objects simultaneously with the help of the IDEX system. It has two independent extruders that print in one of three available modes: duplicate, mirror print and two-colour.
The dual extruder is also great for creating dissolvable supports. They are equipped with two fans that provide efficient cooling of the 3D prints. While we’re on the subject of printing, it’s also interesting to note that it takes less than a minute to heat up the nozzle to an operating temperature of 200°C.
On the Creator 3 Pro, the nozzle and the heating block are mounted together. This simplifies the replacement and maintenance of these printer components. It is also compatible with stainless steel and carbon steel nozzles with bore diameters: 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm. The working area has dimensions of 300 x 250 x 200 mm. On the surface of the heating table there is a flexible overlay, which ensures good heat conduction during printing and easy removal of models after finishing work. The printer has a closed casing and its overall dimensions are 627 x 485 x 615 mm.
New resins for 3D printers
Resins for 3D printing are an increasingly popular material used in 3D printers with a projector. This printing technology is based on emitted light which, thanks to a strictly defined wavelength, cures the resin which is in a liquid state during printing. We already had quite a few of these in our range, but now we have added more types from Flashforge. There are different variants available – you can choose from several colours (or a transparent one), as well as washable and standard versions.
These resins can be used in most UV LCD printers on the market. The resin cures quickly and evenly, resulting in highly detailed and uniquely textured models that are durable and long-lasting.
CircuitMess Wacky Robots Education Kit
We are changing the subject and meeting the needs of electronics beginners. If you dream of making your own device, toy, vehicle or robot, it is worth having soldering skills, preferably from an early age.
CircuitMess Wacky Robots soldering kit is designed for this purpose. It is ideal for all children over the age of 9, especially beginner electronics fans. Together with colourful robots you will learn the world of soldering and the basics of electronics knowledge.
The educational set consists of five different robots – Capacitron, Bob, Marv, Mr. Bee, Resistron, which help to start learning with electronics and learning how to solder:
- The Mr. Bee robot moves and vibrates (exactly like a bee). This is an 8-piece set. It contains a lozenge battery, instructions and information about unbalanced motors.
- The Bob robot set consists of 16 parts. It has 6 RGB LEDs which automatically change their colours. Also included is a lozenge battery, instructions and information about the light emitting diodes (LEDs).
- The Marv robot package consists of 10 parts. It has a lozenge battery, 2 blue LEDs, a button, instructions and information on the difference between a button and a switch.
- The 12-piece Capacitron robot kit has 2 buttons (which will demonstrate charging and discharging a capacitor), a lozenge battery, instructions and information on how capacitors work.
- The Resistron robot box consists of 8 components. It also contains a resistor that dims the LEDs, a lozenge battery, instructions and information about resistance and Ohm’s law.
Soldering station 2 in 1 – Yihua 938BD+I
If you have already mastered the skill of soldering, at this point it is worth taking care of a decent piece of equipment so that no project will pose a challenge to you.
Yihua 938BD+I is a device that combines the function of a soldering iron and hot air blower (hotair) with an air turbine located in the flask. The total power of the station is 750 W. The soldering station has a number of improvements to make work easier, such as sleep function, automatic shutdown and temperature memory.
Advantages of the Yihua 938BD+I soldering station:
- Two devices in one. Compact size means it takes up very little space
- Clear LCD display for easy reading
- Controlled by a microcontroller. This enables the station to heat up quickly and ensures a high degree of temperature stability

The station is designed to work especially with SOIC, QFP, PLCC, BGA, SMD chips. It is also an invaluable tool for e.g. heating, shrinking, tanning paints.
DFRobot SEN0428
Phew, it got hot – I wonder how hot. And to check it out, a temperature sensor will come in handy! And maybe even something more? Another novelty in Botland – a module from the Fermion series by DFRobot equipped with a Sensirion SHT40 temperature and humidity sensor, which measures humidity in the range of 0% to 100% RH with an accuracy of ±1.8% RH and temperature in the range of -40°C to 125°C with an accuracy of ±0.2°C. In addition, a variable-power heater built into the module enables proper operation in extreme conditions, such as condensing environments.
The module uses an I2C interface for communication, is powered from 3.3 V to 5 V and consumes up to 0.15 mA in low-power mode, making it ideal for mobile and battery-powered wireless applications. It can be used, for example, for urban environmental monitoring, smart buildings, industrial automation and other Internet of Things applications. DFRobot SEN0428 features High accuracy, low power consumption, small size and fast response time.
New 3D printer filament kits
We started the review with 3D printing and we will end with it too. New sets of filaments from Print-Me have recently arrived in our shop. Each set is made of a different type of filament and contains their different colours.
They are intended both for schools and 3D printing fans. The total weight of the materials is 1.2 kg. All materials have been vacuum packed by the manufacturer, together with a moisture absorber. The set is a good solution for people who need different colours in their projects.
