Resins for 3D printers

3D printing resins are becoming more and more often the raw material of choice for creating various spatial designs in 3D printers. 3D printing from resins is a completely different technology that is based on the emitted light. Specially selected wavelengths of light harden the resin and ensure a smooth 3D printing process. 3D resins are materials available in liquid (most common) or powdered (less common) form. In the process, the material is exposed to light or temperature, and changes into a solid state. Thus, the resin changes its volume throughout the printing process. Light-curing and thermosetting resins are a modern technique that differs significantly from the standard 3D printing process. Like any technology, it has its advantages and disadvantages. 3D printing from resins is a completely different technological process. When buying a photopolymer 3D printer, we learn everything from scratch and, just like in the case of FDM / FFF 3D printing, we have to be patient at the beginning. It is certainly worth noting, however, that the great advantage of 3D printing with light-curing resins is the high quality of the product and its different appearance. You can get products with very smooth surfaces, which is useful for art printing. The right resins used can also produce great detail effects. See the products below!

Resins for 3D printers – lots of types and colours!

If you are looking for the highest quality resins for 3D printing, you've come to the right place! We have products available in various colours and types. Thanks to them, each user can create their own colorful artistic projects. In this category you will find black, blue, green, orange, yellow, red and other colours of light-curing resins for 3D printing, thanks to which you will create your dream project.

Remember that due to the high print resolution, the light-curing technology is much more repeatable than the standard one. This is a key advantage that prompts many people to switch from PLA printing to printing with resins. This is extremely important when you have to print a large number of the same items. However, you have to be ready to finish the printed model (cut off the excess resin from individual elements). For this purpose, it is worth equipping yourself with a modeling knife, an ultrasonic cleaner and / or isopropyl alcohol.

How does 3D printing work with the use of light-curing resins?

The process of printing spatial objects using resins is slightly different than in the technologies known to you. First, you need to pour 3D printing resins into a special container, a container. The next step is to set up the workbench, which in practice is one layer away from the material, defined by the user. The thickness of this layer may be, for example, 0.025 or 0.1 mm. The next step is to irradiate the resin, which is photopolymerized, i.e. transformed from a liquid to a solid. Of course, before all that, you need to have a 3D project that you want to create. This is however the same as when using other 3D printing techniques. Remember, however, that some designs may look better when made with PLA, others will be better with 3D resin printing.

The resins for 3D printers you can see here require a short exposure time. As a result, the time needed to make the entire printout is shorter. The printed elements are highly resistant to weather conditions and are resistant to UV radiation. The use of resin for 3D printing also has the advantage that the created products will have vivid, dynamic and violent colours. There are versions of transparent resins (very interesting visual effect) and semi-transparent ones - choose the one you want!

Resins for 3D printers – start the adventure now

Light-cured prints are distinguished by low water absorption and low shrinkage. 3D printers that support DLP and LCD technology can be successfully used to create even very detailed figurines and toys. By choosing resins that require wavelengths from 300 to 410 nm to cure, you can be sure that you will be able to print spatial objects from the resin in your 3D printer. This range means that these resins can be safely used with virtually any equipment.

It doesn't matter how many prints you want to make at once. The process time is always the same, so everything happens faster. It is much easier when you need to create several elements at the same time. Moreover, if there is still resin in the container after printing, pour it into a bottle and use it later. The resin is completely safe, but it may give off a delicate smell, so it is worth taking care of proper ventilation of the room during and after the process.
