For over half a century of intensive development of the electronics industry, both in consumer electronics, computers, household appliances, as well as in medical or industrial production, various manufacturers have been introducing more and more new types of power connectors. And - as it usually happens in such cases - only selected ones entered common use. These designs have become worldwide standards, which are known to every practicing electronics engineer. In this category you will find a wide range of cables and adapters used for supplying power to electronic devices and modules both with 230 V mains voltage and low DC voltage from power supplies or inverters.

Plugs, sockets, connectors - diversity for a good cause
The fundamental differences between the design of connectors, cables and power adapters result from two main parameters: operating voltage and maximum current carrying capacity.
In the case of network connectors (in most countries of the world, the voltage in the network is approximately 230 V AC), two main groups can be distinguished: two-pin connectors (intended for devices operating in the second class of insulation) and three-pin connectors (for devices of the first class, i.e. equipped with protective earthing ).
All these connectors must provide sufficiently solid insulation (basic protection in all cases) and carry currents of at least several amperes (usually 10 A or more). In the case of DC connectors, the acceptable voltages are usually quite low (usually in the order of several dozen volts), and the maximum current depends on the intended use of the element and ranges from about 1 A to 10 or more amperes.
Elements of mains power circuits
In this category you will find various types of cables and network adapters, as well as useful connectors in the most known standards. To power desktop computers, most monitors and many other devices (e.g. oscilloscopes or laboratory power supplies), we offer 1.5 m long network cables with IEC plugs and dedicated extension cords (1.8 m).
Smaller devices (e.g. small household appliances or electronics) are often equipped with two-pin "eight" sockets and we also have appropriate network cables for them. Laptop power supplies usually use the so-called "clover" - you will also find such cables in this category. In addition to the cables, we also have built-in power sockets (e.g. AC IEC male socket with a latch - with a fuse and switch) and triple and quadruple 230 V splitters enabling the connection of several power receivers.
Additionally, in the power supply category, we offer a wide selection of power modules , mobile PowerBank batteries of various capacities, gel batteries , AGM batteries and many others.
Computer cables and adapters (high quality)
Diversity, however, does not only concern power supply. Interfaces for data transfer inside computers and embedded systems also require the use of specialized cables and adapters.
Therefore, in this category we have included, among others, SATA cables with a bandwidth of up to 6 GB/s, dedicated SATA adapters (for transmitting data and providing power) for Banana Pi minicomputers, as well as USB 3.0 - SATA modules dedicated for Odroid modules. Here you will also find tapes for ATA devices (optical drives and hard drives with a parallel interface) used in older computers.

Cables and adapters - FAQ
When choosing a power supply cable, it is worth paying attention primarily to the connectors on both sides - one will be connected to the power source (e.g. a standard wall socket), and the other to the power supply (e.g. the so-called eight or IEC). The cable should also be of appropriate thickness adapted to the current parameters.
When selecting a power cable for the power supply, pay attention primarily to the connectors on both sides. One of the most popular power cords are IEC cables - they have a plug for a standard wall socket on one side and a 3-pin IEC plug on the other.
The cable for the power connection should be selected paying particular attention to the appropriate thickness of the entire cable - both the insulation layer and the conductors themselves. The thickness should depend on the parameters of the current that is to flow in it.
Cables are most often used for computer power supplies, one end of which is a plug into a standard wall socket, while the other is equipped with an IEC or so-called "eight" connector.
