Choosing a drill bit cannot be left to chance, especially since the different types of drill bits are very different not only in shape and size but also in purpose. We divide the drill bits mainly according to the materials in which we can drill them. These include metal, wood and concrete. As we know, each of them is characterized by different properties. Wood is definitely less resistant and it is easier to make a hole in it, the other way round is with metal and concrete, which is much more resistant. The drills are therefore adapted to their physical characteristics to enable you to work efficiently, effectively and as easily as possible. The drills differ in diameter so that you can make holes of different sizes. Furthermore, the type of drill you use is also important. Not all are suitable for every type of drill. There are those that you can only use with smaller drills. Please keep this in mind when selecting the drill bits for your work.

Types of drills
In the daily practice of production used drills, which not only form, but also the type of finishing cutting edges used the materials and even tools used in the production process. The most popular and the most universal are stickers made of special alloy and shank – HSS (hence the trade name – English. HSS i.e. High Speed Steel). Drills are performed in the form of monolithic (from one segment of the steel bar), and their properties not only due to the material itself, but also – and probably primarily – with multi-stage heat treatment, which gives the required stiffness of the surface, while maintaining the flexibility of the entire drill. A completely different design have drill widiowe (tipped with very high hardness), drill bits for concrete (less sharp than HSS drill bits, but very durable to impact and abrasion) or drill for wood.
The choice for drilling speed for the material type
This is the second very important aspect is important, however, for any kind of treatment. In case steel is used the rate is quite high (of the order of from several hundred to several thousand revolutions per minute, with an increase of the diameter of the drill should use all lower drilling speed). Aluminium, bronze and brass can be processed with much higher speeds (approximately two times higher than that of steel with a given tool diameter), while significantly lower values should be used for plastics and wood. In these two last groups of materials, the restriction is melting (in the case of plastics) and burning (for wood), is a typical reaction to a significant increase in temperature due to friction of the end face and lateral surface of the drill on the edge of the hole.
Drill the store Botland
In this category you will find a wide selection of drills is not only suitable to make small holes in different metals, but also for drilling in plastic, wood or printed circuit boards. In the latter case, remember that fiberglass, which is the main (along resin) component of the popular laminates FR-4, causes a rather rapid dulling of cutting edges of drills. Therefore it is necessary to choose sets for 10 PCs. drill – this amount is enough to perform many print. Here you will find the drill diameter from a fraction of a millimeter to 4 mm, and sets of drills of various diameters (from 1.5 to 6 mm).
