Reverse engineering has become a fact
3D scanners are widely used in many industries and in smaller design studios. Manually "removing" the dimensions and geometry of difficult, unusual details was often an obstacle to accurate reproduction of the object in the CAD program. In such situations, the sequence of activities is somewhat different than in normal design - because we have an object, and the digital 3D model still needs to be recreated. 3D scanners cope with such challenges quickly and guarantee precision. Laser scanning is a laser measurement of distance from a point with specific spatial coordinates and determining the position using laser beams. A point cloud is a collection of data points in space. They can represent a shape or 3D object, and the measurement can include even billions of them. Each point position has its own set of Cartesian coordinates (X, Y, Z). Point clouds are created by 3D scanners or photogrammetry software.
