Phone chargers - all mobile devices that we use have a built-in battery. This means that your smartphone or tablet device has to be charged every so often. Smartphones and tablets now almost exclusively use lithium-ion cells. These require precise charging systems with control over current, voltage and cell temperature throughout the charging process. Most of these functions are fortunately built into the device itself, so phone, smartphone and tablet chargers only need to provide a stable 5 V voltage and adequate current capacity.

The variety of chargers for mobile devices
The available mobile phone charger or USB power supply on the market is very diverse. These devices are primarily designed for charging smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices such as MP3 players, MP4s, portable routers or LTE modems. Smartphone and tablet chargers, are also used as 5 volt power supplies for USB powered devices such as miniature computers, Raspberry Pi, Arduino modules and other electronics. USB chargers with a standard operating voltage of 5 volts. However, they differ in the output current.
Phone chargers and power supplies, wall-mounted
Power adapters, wall-mounted, sometimes called socket power adapters are compact devices that plug directly into a wall socket, extension cord, etc. so that they do not have to be held in a thick and hard cable network. These types of chargers for smartphones and tablets often have one or two USB connectors, slightly less the built-in cable ends in a plug with a connector such as microUSB. Such power supplies provide a stable output voltage of 5 V, consistent with the specification of the USB standard on which the smartphone charging system is based. The power supplies vary in output from 500 mA to approximately 10 A. Some of these devices can also be used as USB power sources, for example for Raspberry Pi.
Modern and convenient inductive charger
A novelty on the market are inductive-type chargers. This type of charger for a phone, smartphone or tablet should not be connected to the device with a cable. It is equipped with an antenna with a coil that is excited by a high-frequency current. The dual antenna is compatible with mobile devices. When the two coils are brought together, they form a transformer that ensures the transfer of energy from the charger to the device's battery. This type of charger is extremely convenient. Simply place your phone on the charger to start charging. A phone charger today is not just a basic, simple device, but a high-tech gadget.
