Thanks to the Z-Wave 800 chipset and Long Range support, the device is able to communicate with sensors and automation elements several hundred meters away, ensuring minimal delays and a stable connection in every situation.
The manufacturer has released experimental firmware that allows the Home Assistant Connect ZWA-2 module to function as a network repeater. This enables the device to extend network coverage and improve the stability and responsiveness of communication with devices located farther away from the main Home Assistant hub. The feature is currently available as part of an experimental firmware release and may be particularly useful in larger smart home installations where signal dead zones can occur.
