The Aqara Hub E1 is a compact smart home central unit designed to integrate Aqara devices using the ZigBee protocol. The HE1-G01 model supports ZigBee 3.0 and allows you to create a network of up to 128 compatible Aqara devices. The hub allows you to combine sensors, switches, and other automation elements into scenarios and control them using the Aqara Home app. Support for popular ecosystems such as Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and IFTTT expands system integration options. The gateway is powered directly from a USB Type-A port , and its 210° positioning allows for easy installation even in confined spaces.

ZigBee 3.0 and Aqara system connectivity
The Aqara Hub E1 uses ZigBee 3.0 IEEE 802.15.4 to communicate with compatible Aqara devices and WiFi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz to connect to the network. This makes the gateway a central point of communication between smart home system components, the app, and supported external ecosystems. The network can include up to 128 Aqara devices , but achieving the maximum number of connections requires the use of devices acting as ZigBee routers or repeaters. The Hub E1 can also function as a 2.4 GHz WiFi repeater , increasing the stability of range for other nearby devices. In this mode, the manufacturer expects to support a maximum of two devices. Compatible Aqara devices connected to the hub can be shared with popular smart home platforms, allowing you to conveniently expand your home automation system without having to manage each element separately.
The hub can also be used as a WiFi repeater.
The hub has a classic USB Type-A port, so it can be powered from almost any device equipped with a USB connector, such as a power bank, power strip, socket, computer or even a router.
