Electrolytic THT capacitor
An electrolytic capacitor is an electronic component whose construction is based on the use of electrolyte as the material of one of two covers (conductors), which are separated by a dielectric. The electrolyte is usually liquid (but can be solid), and the second electrode is usually made of aluminum - this is the most common type that electronics engineers usually mean when they talk about an electrolytic capacitor. However, it could just as well be a component with a solid electrolyte and tantalum as the covers. Note that these components only work if they are properly polarized. They are well suited for operation over a large temperature range, can maintain the voltage rating of the device, and are capable of withstanding high current draw for short periods of time. With the use of an electrolyte, an electrolytic capacitor gains the ability to acquire a large capacitance in relation to its small size.
What are capacitors used for?
Capacitors are an essential component when designing and building voltage stabilizers or power supplies. Such elements ensure that the instantaneous value of the voltage remains constant between pulses of current from the rectifier. In transformer power supplies, electrolytic capacitors of large capacitance are especially often used. Capacitors also work well as anti-interference components. Together with resistors, they form the basis in time-domain circuits (RC circuits) or in passive and active filters - for example in an amplifier. They can also easily be found on the motherboard of desktop computers, for example. In digital circuits, the current consumption can change suddenly even by several orders of magnitude - in which case the capacitor will filter out the voltage changes. In such places, usually components with the smallest possible size and high capabilities are used - this principle perfectly fits exactly electrolytic capacitors, which our store offers.
Range of capacities and voltages
Our electrolytic capacitors from this category are made in THT technology (through-hole capacitors). We offer capacitors in sizes from 5 to 16 mm in diameter at the base and from 7 to 25 mm in height of the cylinder. Capacitances depend on the size of the components - we have a wide range of capacitors with different capacitances: 0,47 uF, 1 uF, 2,2 uF, 4,7 uF, 10 uF, 100 uF, 1000 uF, 22 uF, 220 uF, 2200 uF, 330 uF, 47 uF, 470 uF, 4700 uF. Due to the fact that we sell them in large quantities, the price per single item is very low.
