The module works as a half-duplex transceiver , which means that it supports unidirectional transmission at a given time. Thanks to 5V or 12V power supply and easy connection via 3-pin screw connectors , it is extremely versatile and easy to integrate. It also has a 120R switch , which allows termination of the RS485 bus, which is important for correct transmission in long-distance environments.
