Product description: Gravity - Offline voice recognition module - I2C, UART - Arduino compatible - DFRobot SEN0539-EN
The voice recognition module - Gravity Offline Language Learning Voice Recognition Sensor - allows you to recognize 121 voice commands saved in memory , as well as expand it with 17 of your own sounds, including clapping, whistling and even animal sounds. The sensor works without an Internet connection, which significantly simplifies its use. It communicates with the microcontroller via I2C or UART . It supports platforms such as Arduino , Raspberry Pi , FireBeetle and others. It has a built-in microphone and loudspeaker , as well as a connector for an external 8 Ω, 3 W loudspeaker. The sound source and communication interface are selected via a switch located on the board.
Product compatible with Arduino and Raspberry Pi!
The manufacturer provides a detailed user guide with ready-made libraries to operate the module.
Possibilities of using the voice recognition module
The voice recognition module from the manufacturer DFRobot allows you to control devices by voice, without the need to connect to the Internet. Potential applications for such a sensor include: Smart Home devices, toys, robots, and voice assistants. The additional functionality offered by the Gravity module may be particularly useful in these cases: the ability to remember new voice commands and wake up the device with a dedicated sequence by voice. The 17 sounds that the sensor can remember do not have to include only words and their compounds, but any sounds, such as a dog barking. Thanks to the built-in loudspeaker , our device can actively respond to the user's spoken sentences.
