Single-board minicomputers are a perfect example of how the miniaturization of electronics affects the way we think about the modern world. In the past, a computer was associated with a large, tin "box", a little later - with a not the smallest laptop, and today efficient, multi-core hardware fits in the palm of your hand. What's more - the great advantage of SBC minicomputers is the ease of their integration with any electronic systems, thanks to the GPIO connectors (uncommon in "normal" computers). One of the most interesting lines of this type of product is the Pine64 series of minicomputers, which you will now also find in the Botland store's offer.

Pine64 ROCKPro64 is a proposal for users looking for a powerful minicomputer with high expansion capabilities and at an affordable price. On a board with dimensions of 133 x 80 x 19 mm, there is an excellent Rockchip RK3399 chip, hiding a quad-core ARM Cortex-A54 processor (1.5 GHz + 2.0 GHz) and an additional, dual-core ARM Cortex-A72 processor, and the whole works together with 4GB DDR4 RAM. There are numerous communication ports on the PCB: 2x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0 and 1x USB type C (also supporting the USB 3.0 protocol), Ethernet port 10/100/1000 Mbps, HDMI socket, slots for microSD cards and eMMC modules, CSI and DSI, and - which is clearly rare in this market segment - a PCI-e 2.1 slot. The minicomputer can communicate with external sensors and other local systems using SPI, I2C, I2S, it also has UART and S/PDIF buses. The device is designed to be powered by a power adapter with a DC 5.5/2.1 mm output plug (12 V / 5 A). Importantly, the architecture of the minicomputer supports a number of popular Linux distributions, including Debian, Ubuntu and Android.
Pine64 Quartz64 Model-A - a treat for AI fans
Artificial intelligence has entered the world of embedded systems with impetus, and the trend of dissemination of distributed computing systems (edge computing) forces and at the same time benefits from the development of efficient processors, optimized for use in artificial intelligence applications. The Pine64 Quartz64 Model-A minicomputer is perfect for such tasks - in addition to the efficient, quad-core 64-bit Rockchip RK3566 processor with ARM Cortex A55 architecture, it also has a built-in parallel computing acceleration engine with a throughput of 0.8 TOPS. This solution makes the device perfect for the implementation of artificial neural networks. As if that wasn't enough, the CPU works with the Mali-G52-2EE graphics coprocessor.
