Application of Enviro overlays
Enviro overlays are designedto testroomconditions. Temperature, humidity, light and volume sensors, as well asan LCD displayand a distance sensor for interaction allow you to create a small device for measuring the conditions in your home. The overlay can also be combined withvoice assistantssuch asAmazon AlexaorIFTTTto tell you what the current temperature is or change the brightness level of a Philips Hue bulb.
Created to test air quality
The Enviro + Air Quality overlay has been developed in collaboration withthe University of Sheffieldto read real-time air quality data in your area for projects such asLuftdaten. Devices such as Enviro enable you to obtaindetailed datathat allows you to see changes in air quality over time and in different areas of cities. More available data sharing devices will allow you to create a more detailed dataset from more locations.
The module is equipped witha number of sensorsthat allow you to read basic air quality data and prevailing conditions. In addition, the cap has been equipped with connectors to connect the PMS5003 sensor, which extends the capabilities of the project to PM measurement in the air. The manufacturer has prepared auser guidewhich shows how to use the Enviro cover plate.
