The RTX brand sensor was created to detect the presence of water and prevent the effects of flooding . It is equipped with two electrodes on the bottom of the housing that record the change in resistance caused by the presence of water. When a threat is detected, you will immediately receive a notification in the Tuya Smart application. Each flood detection is also saved in the device's memory with a time and date stamp. The sensor allows you to automate actions such as triggering an alarm or disconnecting the washing machine in the event of flooding. It is compatible with Google Home and Alexa , which increases its functionality. It also alerts you when the battery level is low, ensuring uninterrupted operation. Thanks to ZigBee technology, which connects system elements with the Tuya Smart cloud server, the sensor consumes little energy, enabling long-term operation on one battery and easy integration with other devices in the system.
