ZigBee energy meter with current transformer up to 50 A
Tongou TO-Q-SA1 in the ZigBee version is a measurement module with a current transformer that sends measurements of a circuit up to 50 A to Zigbee2MQTT or the Tuya Smart app. In Zigbee2MQTT the meter provides energy, voltage, current, power, frequency, power factor and temperature, so you can use the data in Home Assistant automations.
To work, it needs a ZigBee gateway, e.g. SMLIGHT SLZB-06mg24. You plug the module's board into the L pole terminal of the circuit breaker and route the circuit wire through the transformer. The meter has no relay; it only sends alarms. The version with WiFi connectivity, which does not require a gateway, is TO-Q-SA1 WiFi.

Fun fact
Measurement from 100 mA
The TO-Q-SA1 meter starts measuring at a current of 100 mA, so it also registers small loads on the circuit. For this series the manufacturer specifies an energy measurement accuracy of class 1.0 and a maximum current of 50 A.

Does it work with Zigbee2MQTT?
Yes. Zigbee2MQTT supports the Tongou TO-Q-SA1 model and shows, among other things, energy, voltage, current, power and temperature.
How do I add the meter to the network?
First add the ZigBee gateway in the app, then the meter. Continuous blinking of the blue LED indicates pairing mode.
What does blinking every 2 s mean?
A blue LED blinking once every 2 seconds means the connection to the network has been lost. A steady light means successful pairing.
