On March 14, 2018, i.e. exactly on the world Pi day, the Raspberry Pi Foundation announced the launch of the Pi 3B + model. It is the successor of the Pi 3B model. In terms of PCB geometry and location of the connectors, virtually nothing has changed. However, the new single-board minicomputer from Raspberry Pi contains several new hardware improvements. The Pi 3B + model is equipped with a new, more efficient main processor and a modified heat dissipation system. An important change is also an improved wireless communication system. Raspberry Pi 3B+ with its hardware parameters shows an ever closer development trend towards standard PCs.
