This is because the system needed for both devices to move the work tool (applying the filament or sending the laser beam) is the same. A laser cutting machine is a tool that is able to precisely and efficiently cut out specific shapes and patterns. Such equipment is usually used in factories for industrial use, but more and more often it also finds its place in ordinary houses. For example, using the same beam strength to cut metal and plastic will result in unsightly distortions of the plastic surface.
Desk laser cutting machine
One of our products is a laser cutter that adjusts the laser beam parameters - power, speed and height on its own. The product is called Makeblock Laserbox Pro and can cut and engrave materials such as paper, corrugated paper, wood, acrylic, canvas, denim, leather, base, plate, ABS, PET, rubber, veneer, veneer, cork, sandpaper, food, fibreglass, plastic and many others. The device is equipped with a number of intelligent systems that work, among other things, thanks to the built-in high quality camera. The cutter is able to recognize handwritten drawings by itself and then cut them out or mark outlines. You can easily cut or engrave the shapes proposed by the device, or use your own files. The equipment informs about the current status of the task being performed, warns against possible overheating (protecting the equipment from self-destruction), adjusts the speed of the vaporizer according to the speed of release, and if the cover is opened, the device immediately stops working. The cutter also has a number of certificates proving a high degree of safety. It is worth noting that the model is perfectly adapted to work with children - among other things, it is accompanied by 15 specially prepared lessons which can be conducted at school or at home.
Cutting machine with a 3D printer
The tool movement system used in 3D printers (in all directions in the plane and up and down) can also be used for laser cutting. That is why it often happens that manufacturers of such devices combine the properties of both tools in one device. A great example is the 3D printer Dobot Mooz 2 Plus - a tool allowing 3D printing, a CNC precision tool module and a 1.6 W laser engraver module can be alternately mounted to the metal structure.
