The xTool MetalFab 800 W is a complete solution for modern metalworking. The system consists of a compact 800 W laser welder and a CNC cutter with a 610 x 610 mm work area. The device allows for welding, manual cutting, automated CNC cutting, rust removal, surface cleaning, and engraving of selected metals within a single work environment. The fiber laser with a wavelength of 1080 ±10 nm ensures high energy concentration, a small heat-affected zone, and aesthetically pleasing welds and cut edges. With a database of over 108 preset material settings, automatic wire feeding, and an intelligent camera system, you can start working with virtually no time-consuming parameter selection. MetalFab was designed for metalworking shops, prototyping shops, steel structure manufacturers, art studios, and companies producing short and medium-sized production runs.

How does xTool MetalFab work?
xTool MetalFab utilizes fiber laser technology, which generates a beam of light within a fiber laser and then directs it to the work head. This focused, high-energy beam rapidly melts the material, enabling welds or precise cuts with a minimal heat-affected zone . This minimizes deformation of the processed components and allows for a neat finish without the need for extensive post-processing. The welding machine and cutting machine work together as a single ecosystem . Depending on the task at hand, you can switch between welding, manual cutting, cleaning, and automatic CNC operation modes . Process parameters are selected via the software, which provides ready-made material profiles and allows for quick project preparation.
800 W laser welder - precise metal welding
The xTool MetalFab laser welder is equipped with an 800W fiber laser , enabling high-quality welds with minimal spatter and limited material deformation. The device supports continuous, spot, and pulse welding , making it suitable for both thin components and more demanding steel structures. The 800W model can weld metals from 0.2mm to 4mm thick, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and galvanized sheets . up to 3 mm for aluminum and brass. The integrated wire feeder simplifies operation, increases work comfort, and ensures even feeding of filler material during welds. Simply select the appropriate material, and the device automatically selects the laser parameters, operating speed, and other process settings . This significantly reduces the number of process trials and material consumption. The software also offers automatic cutting path planning, intelligent element placement on the sheet, project management, and control of both the welding machine and the CNC cutting machine from a single work environment. This makes the entire process—from design preparation to production—quick and easy.
