The required current voltage values vary depending on the model and range from 1 V to as much as 12 V. However, the most common components are those operating between 3 V and 9 V. The electric motor requires a current of approx. 40 mA, 70 mA, 80 mA or 100 mA (depending on the model) during steady state no-load operation. When a load occurs (for example, when starting), a much higher current must be supplied to the motor. For example; for a machine with a torque of 1 kg*cm and a gear ratio of 50:1, the current drawn may be around 700 mA, whereas during steady state operation with no load, 40 mA is required. This is almost 20 times higher.
