Product Description: Tensile Sensor - Conductive Rubber Sheet - 200 x 200 x 1 mm - Adafruit 5463
The tensile sensor is a sheet of rubber made of the same material used in conductors - traditionally used for electromagnetic shielding or as a conductive gasket. The sheet's electrical resistance at rest is approximately 70 Ω. The sheet can stretch from 50% to 70% of its original condition. In combination with a resistor, the sensor can work as a simple voltage divider.
Tensile sensor - conductive rubber sheet.
Application of the sensor
The tensile force sensor is used wherever it is necessary to determine the strength of given materials. The use of a conductive rubber sheet allows these values to be obtained based on the change in the resistance of the material under the influence of stretching.
