Operational amplifier is designed to handle strain beams. The system is supplied with the voltage from 2.7 V to 5.0 V, communicates via a two-wire system bus: the data line and a clock line.




The strain beams are supported through the so-called Wheatstone bridge, i.e. wires connected in the following way:

  • Red (RED)-  positive excitation or VCC (power)
  • Black (BLK)- negative excitation or GND (ground)
  • White (WHT)- positive amplification, a positive signal or a positive output
  • Green (GRN)- the negative amplification, the signal is negative or the output is negative
  • Yellow (YLW)- grounding, optional input enables to reduce electromagnetic interference



For communication with the microcontroller, e.g. Arduino board, the system uses two lines: CLK and DAT.

REVELATORY! HX711. In this case, it is worth paying several times more (six times) if someone cares about quality and stable operation. I have worked with a lot of cheap HX and it was really different. These HXs never sulked :-D I sincerely recommend with a clear conscience. Experience supported by 14 pieces and two years of use.

It would be worth providing each product with a verified, CURRENT technical description along with a connection proposal (in the platform to which it is dedicated, e.g. Arduino). Manufacturers often change parameters and the links provided lead to products that look similar, but with slightly different parameters (or worse, different pin numbers/properties). Searching blogs "what worked for someone" (because the library provided on the website does not work) is not effective and does not use the real capabilities of the hardware.
