The task of the limit switch is to warn about approaching an obstacle and when the switch lever is pressed, it will change the voltage signal from 3.3 V to 0 V, which will be sent to the microcontroller or other peripheral device. The sensor is used in many mechanical devices before a collision or before being extended too far.
