Product description: TSMP96000 Code Learning - IR 20 - 60 kHz infrared receiver - STEMMA JST PH 2 mm - Adafruit 5970

The TSMP96000 module from Adafruit is an IR receiver designed to receive signals from remote controls with frequencies from 20 kHz to 60 kHz . This makes it universal and can receive signals from different IR remote controls, even if you do not know the exact frequency of the signal. The module is powered by a voltage of 3 V to 5 V , and the output signal is sent to a microcontroller, which then decodes the received signal. There are LEDs on the board - green indicates power, and red informs about the reception of an IR signal. The module is easy to use thanks to the STEMMA JST PH connector with a 2 mm pitch , which allows connection without the need for soldering . Ideal for projects related to receiving IR signals, especially in "Code Learning" applications, where the device must work with different remote controls.

TSMP96000 Code Learning - IR 20 - 60 kHz infrared receiver - STEMMA JST PH 2 mm - Adafruit 5970

The receiver detects infrared signals in the range of 20 kHz to 60 kHz.

Main features of the receiver

  • Wide IR frequency range compatibility: receives infrared signals from 20 kHz to 60 kHz, allowing it to work with a wide range of remote controls
  • Power supply : the module is powered by a voltage of 3 V to 5 V, compatible with most microcontrollers
  • Simple installation: no soldering required, just use STEMMA JST PH cable with a 2 mm pitch
  • LEDs: green diode for correct power supply and red diode for signal reception
  • No signal demodulation : the module does not provide a demodulated signal, it requires code designed specifically for "Code Learning"

Connecting the module and terminals

The module is equipped with a STEMMA JST PH connector with a 2 mm pitch , which allows easy connection. It has 3 pins:

  • GND - ground
  • V+ - power supply
  • SIG - signal

Thanks to this solution, connecting the module to the microcontroller becomes simple and convenient, and the whole thing does not require soldering.
