Resin 3D Printing with Saturn
Resin 3D printing technology is particularly effective when creating miniatures, precision prototypes, jewelry, and larger consumer items that require meticulous detail and smooth surfaces. Saturn printers use the printing process to selectively cure liquid resin using UV light. Each layer of material is precisely exposed, allowing for the reproduction of even the smallest details and achieving smooth, almost photographic surfaces. Monochrome LCD displays speed up exposure times, shortening printing times without compromising quality, while automatic bed calibration systems and resin level sensors ensure the stability and repeatability of each design. Elegoo Saturn Models and Their Applications
The Saturn 2 and Saturn 2 Pro differ in their additional features and maximum build volume. The Saturn 2 offers a build volume of 219 x 123 x 250 mm, a 6.1-inch monochrome LCD screen, and an XY resolution of 0.05 mm, which are perfectly adequate for most home and hobby projects. The Pro version is designed for users requiring a larger build volume of 279 x 158 x 300 mm and accelerated resin curing, with a 6.6-inch monochrome LCD screen and intelligent resin presence sensors. Both models enable long-lasting prints with high repeatability. The stable construction reduces vibration and improves print surface quality.
