Precise distance measurement with ToF HAT sensor
The Stick series includes, among others, ToF HAT - laser distance sensor. The measurement consists of emitting a laser beam with a wavelength of 940 nm. This sensor is characterized by high quality of workmanship and high measurement accuracy combined with a very short time of detection of delay resulting from the time of propagation of the laser beam. The maximum range of measurement of the absolute distance of this sensor is 2 m. The main element of this sensor's construction is the VL53L0X, which generates a laser beam invisible to the human eye, based on FlightSense technology. Built-in infrared filters enable precise beam guidance and increase resistance to interference, guaranteeing high measurement accuracy. The module is compatible with Arduino boards and communicates on I2C bus (address: 0x29). ToF HAT module is perfect for applications such as obstacle recognition, gesture recognition, precise distance measurement, as well as for camera and camera support.
M5StickC - development board based on ESP32
The M5Stick products are also versatile tools for IoT application prototyping enthusiasts. One example is the M5StickC board, which is based on the ESP32 series CPU. With this module you can use your creativity to a very high degree, creating prototypes of IoT applications in a very short time with a minimum of complexity. To turn the board on, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. The board supports several data transmission speeds, from 250k to 115200 k. The M5StickC design is equipped with an infrared transmitter, a 6-axis inertial navigation system and a microphone. The M5StickC module is used in a wide range of IoT applications as a controller for intelligent clothing (e.g. by measuring the permitted safe height for workers on the construction site) and also as a scientific and teaching aid when conducting classes according to the STEAM philosophy. The board can be powered from the USB type C port as well as from the built-in lithium-polymer battery.
Intelligent M5Stick cameras
The M5Stick series also includes the intelligent MStickV AI camera, which is designed to create advanced designs for the internet of things and artificial intelligence. The camera uses a specialized Kendryte K210 chip, which consists of a 64-bit RISC-V processor and a neural computing processor. The OmniVision OV7740 image sensor provides excellent image quality, even under very poor ambient lighting conditions, and enables precise measurement of the detected target's coordinates. The camera is powered by a built-in 200 mAh lithium-polymer battery. Examples of applications where the M5StickV AI camera is used include FPP game simulators, image analysis and face recognition systems, as well as identification of physical objects.
