Banana Pi modules from the Mx series
The Banana Pi minicomputer board is based on Allwinner processor (various versions) with dual- or quad-core ARM Cortex-A7. Most often, the processor is clocked at a frequency of 1 to 1.2 GHz. Banana Pi minicomputers have from 512 MB to 2GB of RAM memory. Advanced models (for example, Banana Pi M2 Ultra, Banana Pi M2 +, Banana Pi M3 and Banana Pi M4) also have built-in 8GB eMMC memory. Even smaller minicomputers are equipped with many useful connectors. The Banana Pi M1 module has two USB ports, SATA connector and an microSD memory card slot. It also has a 26-pin GPIO connector and an Ethernet socket. The board also has some multimedia port connectors: HDMI, RCA (TV output), CSI (for camera connection), as well as a 3.5 mm jack (audio output). However, one of the most advanced modules, Banana Pi M4, has a 40-pin GPIO connector, four USB sockets, M.2 PCIE 2.0 slot, as well as HDMI connector and 3.5 mm jack. This module also supports many serial communication interfaces, such as: UART, I2C, I2S and SPI. The Banana Pi boards have on-board buttons, including Power, Reset, and some minicomputers also have embedded Boot selector.
Other Banana Pi modules
The Banana Pi family of minicomputers includes also Banana Pi Zero model. It has dimensions of 65 x 30 x 5 mm. Zero model is based on Allwiner H2 + chipset processor with ARM Cortex-A7 Quad Core supporting clock frequency up to 1GHz. Banana Pi Zero has 512 MB of RAM memory. It also has a connector for microSD memory. You can solder the 40-pin GPIO connector on the board depending on your design needs. The Banana Pi Zero minicomputer has many connectors: microUSB OTG, miniHDMI and u.FL antenna connector for embedded WiFi/Bluetooth module. It also supports basic communication protocols: UART, SPI and I2C. The module works u Linux and Android operating systems. Some Banana Pi minicomputers are routers, for example Banana Pi W2 and Banana Pi R2. Banana Pi W2 has a Realtek RTD1296 SoC and a Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 application processor. The last of them is working at 1.5 GHz clock frequency. The router also has 2GB RAM memory and 8 GB eMMC Flash memory. The board has, among others, two Ethernet connectors, an HDMI connector (audio and video) and standard 40-pin GPIO connector. In contrast, Banana Pi R2 with MediaTek MT7623M processor and ARM® Cortex ™ -A7 MP Quad-Core has five Ethernet connectors, as well as on-board Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 modules. It also has an HDMI connector, audio input (microphone) and a CSI connector for connecting the external camera module.
Banana Pi accessories
At Botland, we offer various accessories for Banana Pi minicomputers. You will find Wi-Fi antennas and compatible SMA adapters. If you are designing an electronic device with a camera, choose the ready to use kit Banana Pi D1. It contains the special version of Banana Pi module and a built-in HD ready IP camera with 720p resolution. In addition, we offer HDMI cables and power supplies for Raspberry Pi, compatible with Banana Pi. They have microUSB connectors. You can also order various dedicated cases for Banana Pi minicomputers. Each case has holes that match the connectors on the minicomputer's board.
