Description
The module is based on a TXB0108 system, it allows you to exchange data between systems that use the most popular voltage levels: 3.3 V and 5V. It has eight channels, it automatically detects the direction of transmission. Board sizes - 27 x 10 mm.
The system works with small currents so it can directly connect LEDs and long wires. Problems could be also with the I2C bus, with standard pulling-up resistors (about 4.7 kΩ). To support this interface, you should use the resistors with a value not less than 50 kΩ -internal resistorsof the AVR microcontrollers (includingArduino) will be suitable, their resistance is about. 100 kΩ.
Connection
All pins have been properly signed on board:
- VCCA- lower voltage from the range of 1.2 V to 3.6 V
- VCCB- lower, higher range of 1.7 V-5.5 V
- Ax- inputs/outputs with low voltage
- Bx- I/o with higher voltage
- GND- ground of the system
- OE- indicating the low status blocks the outputs
The pins are solder fields for soldering the goldpin connectors(2.54 mm pitch). Thanks to them, it is possible to connect the system with thebreadboardor the main module (for example,STM32DiscoveryorArduino) viawires.
