Description
The sensor, which can detect simple gestures, light of the surroundings, color and approaching obstacles. The device communicates with a microcontroller via the I2C bus. It works with a voltage from 3.3 V to 5 V.
The product is compatible with Arduino The manufacturer provides auser guide along with connection diagram for users ofArduino. |
The module has a built-in IR LED and driver along with four directions photoleds, which detect energy reflected from the IR LED. The proximity function allows you to measure distances from an object located on the front of the sensor with 8-bit resolution. The device allows you to recognize simple gestures: a top-down, bottom-up, from right to left and left to right.
Adafruit APDS9960 has a built-in voltage regulator of 3.3 V, so it works with the power supply of 3.3 V and 5 V.
