Product description: Rotation sensor, Okystar 20 pulses encoder KY-040
The KY-040 rotation sensor is an incremental encoder. The encoder's task is to generate pulses corresponding to the rotational movement. The sensor detects clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation. The sensor is supplied with5 V.It sends out 20 pulses within a 360° radius.

Product compatible withArduino. In the network you can finda sample program for Arduino. |
Module outputs
Thanks to the transducer used, the module sends signals determining the direction and range of rotation. Additionally, the module has a button, built in the encoder axis. The sensorhas a 5-pin connector with CLK, DT and SW digital outputs, which should be connected to the microcontroller outputs, e.g. Arduino.
