Description: Pololu Simple High-Power 24v23 - single-channel motor controller
The controller allows you to controla DC motorsupplied with a voltage from 5.5 V to 40 V witha current consumption of up to 23A.HighPower system supports4 control modes: USB, serial TTL, analog voltage and RC radio signal. Thecomputer applicationallows you to easily configure the module.
The manufacturer provides a detaileduser guide. The set requires simple soldering of basic electronic components. |
Main features of Polol 24v23 engine driver
- Easy to use bidirectional DC motor controller
- Power supply: 5.5 V to 30 V (18v7, 18v15, 18v25 versions) and up to 40 V (24v12, 24v23)
- From 7A to 25 A continuous current depending on version
- Four communication protocols:
- USB - direct connection to a computer
- TTL - serial interface to connect e.g. with a microcontroller
- Radio signal (RC)
- Analog input (0 - 3.3 V) - connection of potentiometer or joysticks
- Simple configuration via USB (Windows 7, Vista, XP, Linux )
- Detailed information can be found inthe user manual

For details, please refer to theuser manual.
For systems using 24V supply voltage, we recommend using 24v12or24v23 controller. When using the 18v17,18v15and 18v25 controllers, there isa danger that the voltage will at some points exceed the permissible value (e.g. when the batteries are fully charged), which may cause permanent damage to the system. |
Additives in the 24v23 motor controller
- Instructionswith sample connections and source codes
- Adjustable starting and maximum speed
- Option to prevent the engine from starting up accidentally
- Adjustable PWM frequency from 1 kHz to 22 kHz
- Can be switched off at too low a supply voltage
- Error indication LED

Communication with the Polol motor controller
The HighPower series controllers can communicate via three interfaces:
USB port of the computer
- Communication with a computer via virtual COM port
- Examples of codesin C#, Visual Basic, .NET, C++
- Optional safeguards (CRC control, timeout)
- Automatic baud rate detection (1200 bps to 500 kbps)
Remote Control - modeling equipment
- Frequencies 10 to 333 Hz
- Adjustable parameters for RC signal
- Two channels
- Possibility to power the receiver from the BEC system (BEC jumper)
Analogue interface
- Resolution: 12 bits
- Voltage range: 0 to 3.3 V
- Two analogue channels
