TMOS PIR Unit from M5Stack is a highly sensitive infrared sensor module based on the STHS34PF80 chip, designed for motion and presence detection. It operates based on the principle of body radiation according to Planck's law, which allows for precise monitoring of ambient temperature and detection of static and moving objects . With a field of view of 80° and a range of up to 2 m, the sensor will work in many applications, such as intelligent lighting , alarm systems or automatic furniture. The module communicates via the I2C interface (default address 0x5A), offering an adjustable sampling rate (from 0.25 Hz to 30 Hz) and gain modes (default and wide). TMOS PIR is compatible with M5Stack development modules , including Core Basic, Core2 and CoreS3, and the set includes a Grove cable for easy integration.

Module connection and compatibility
The TMOS PIR module uses the I2C interface (default address: 0x5A) and is compatible with M5Stack development modules such as Core Basic , Core2 , CoreS3 , as well as Atom Lite , Atom Matrix and StickC Plus . The connection is made using the included Grove cable. Example pins for M5Core2:
