Description

The sensor allows you to control the water level in the tank. It consists of a float which, under the influence of a reduction of the volume of the fluid, decreases, causing a short circuit of the reed switch, that is, it begins to conduct electric current.

 

In this combination, the sensor does not conduct the electrical impulses

I bought 6 of them and they work very well with the Arduino (with a pull-up resistor of course). The sensors are completely waterproof, so they can be built into the walls of the tank as well as completely submerged in water.

The cables are a little weak, when the pump is supposed to be switched on, for example. Otherwise it seems like a useful tool, I have had the switch installed for two days to pump rainwater, so it is too early to judge.
