Product description: Fermion - gesture recognition sensor GR10-30 - UART / I2C - DFRobot SEN0543

Fermion - GR10-30 gesture sensor manufactured by DFRobot. Can recognize up to 12 hand gestures - up, down, left, right, forward and backward, clockwise and counterclockwise rotation, clockwise and counterclockwise continuous rotation clockwise, hovering and waving. Each user can set parameters such as gesture trigger distance (0cm to 30cm), hand rotation angle and hover time that can be recognized, and the size of the recognition area to get more accurate results. It also has two interrupt pins that indicate whether a gesture trigger will occur and whether an object will enter the recognition range. The module is used in applications and scenarios that operate on the principle of non-contact triggering, for example remote gesture control, robot interaction, human-machine interface control, lighting control.

  • GND - system ground
  • SCL - clock line of the I2C bus
  • SDA - data line of the I2C bus
  • RST - reset pin
  • INT2 - interrupt pin, responsible for detecting the movement of the object; high - the object is moving in the detection area; low - there is no object in the area, the object is stationary or the detection area is completely blocked for more than 3 s
  • INT1 - interrupt pin, responsible for gesture recognition; after recognizing the gesture, pulses of 10 ms appear
  • TX - UART data transmission
