Ventilation or heating regulation requires data on the current temperature and air humidity, while automatic lighting control is based on dusk and motion sensors. Many sensors, in turn, allow you to increase the level of security - door and window opening sensors allow you to detect unauthorized entry into rooms, while gas, smoke or flood sensors can early warn household members about threats.
