Product description: Top cover for Snapmaker U1 3D printer
A dedicated top cover for the Snapmaker U1 3D printer is designed to stabilize thermal conditions and improve work comfort. The enclosed design utilizes heat emitted by the build plate , allowing the chamber to passively reach temperatures up to 50°C . This helps prevent excessive cooling and material shrinkage when working with materials such as ABS , ASA , PA , and PC. For heat-sensitive materials such as PLA, TPU, and PVA, the device can exhaust warm air to the outside . The cover also features three-stage air filtration , a magnetically detachable front door, and a design that reduces noise during operation.

The cover will be especially useful when printing with materials that require a more stable ambient temperature.
Main features of the Snapmaker U1 cover
- Dedicated to Snapmaker U1 : the structure has been designed specifically to work with the Snapmaker U1 3D printer
- Chamber temperature up to 50°C : passive thermal management uses the heat emitted by the build bed, creating the right conditions for demanding filaments
- Two air circulation modes : internal circulation helps retain heat, while external circulation is responsible for its effective dissipation
- Automatic Filament Matching : Snapmaker Orca can assign the appropriate circulation mode to the material being used
- Three-stage filtration : G3 pre-filter, coconut shell activated carbon and H12 HEPA filter reduce pollutants generated during printing
- VOC and Particulate Filtration : The system helps reduce volatile organic compounds, odors, and fine particles present in the air inside the chamber
- Lower noise level : In internal circulation mode, the average noise level can be below 50 dB
- Magnetic front door : allows quick access to the compartment without having to remove the entire cover
- Technical filament support : Snapmaker U1 kit with cover supports PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA, PET, ABS, ASA, PA and PC
- PC housing : the cover is made of polycarbonate
Three-stage air filtration: G3, activated carbon and H12 HEPA
The Snapmaker U1's cover filtration system operates in internal circulation mode and consists of three successive layers. A G3 pre-filter traps larger airborne particles, dust, and other contaminants, serving as the first stage of purification. The next layer utilizes coconut shell activated carbon , which adsorbs VOCs (volatile organic compounds), odors, and gaseous pollutants generated during printing. The final stage is an H12 HEPA filter . Designed to capture fine particles, including PM2.5 and ultrafine particles. Filtration is particularly useful when working with technical materials such as ABS, ASA, PA, and PC. After printing, the filtration system operates for an additional 10 minutes before automatically shutting off. The manufacturer recommends waiting this time before opening the chamber for filaments with higher emissions. Please note that three-stage filtration is not used in external airflow mode.

The magnetic front door allows quick access to the compartment without having to remove the entire cover.
Snapmaker U1 Chamber Temperature and Ventilation Management
The cover does not utilize a separate chamber heater; passive thermal management is employed, relying on thermal energy emitted by the heating bed . In internal circulation mode , the airtight design limits heat loss , allowing the chamber temperature to reach up to 50°C . More stable thermal conditions help reduce rapid cooling, shrinkage, and warping of prints made of ABS, ASA, PA, PC, and PETG. For heat-sensitive filaments such as PLA, TPU, and PVA, external air circulation is used. A fan draws in cooler ambient air from the bottom and exhausts heated air through an exhaust port, facilitating print cooling . In this mode, air does not pass through the three-stage filter. However, the design provides an interface for mounting an external air exhaust hose adapter, a model of which can be printed independently.
