The RP2040 is a very powerful chip based on a dual-coreARMCortex M0+processor clocked at133 MHz. It has 264 kB of built-in SRAM, uniqueprogrammable I/O (PIO)and other popular communication interfaces. Detailed documentation, a fine-tuned MicroPython port and the UF2 bootloader located in ROM allow even novice users and hobbyists to get started with the microcontroller. The RP2040 microcontroller has been manufactured using a modern40nmtechnology process. It provides high performance, low power consumption, with multiple low-power modes that allow the chip to run on battery power for long periods of time.
