A small digital distance sensor using the IR beam to measure, the sensor's operating range is adjustable. The distance at which it is able to detect objects depends on the colour of its surface, for black from 15 cm to 60 cm, and for white from 40 to 140 cm. The sensor is powered from 4.5 V to 5.5 V.
