A holding electromagnet powered by 12V . It holds a mass of 60kg at the standard acceleration of gravity of 9.8 m/s². The electromagnet dimensions are 80 x 37 x 23.6mm. A set of mounting screws is included. The device can be used as an actuator controlled by any microcontroller, such as an Arduino . Note that the electromagnet draws too much power to connect directly to a microcontroller pin. A relay , optoisolator , or transistor amplifier can be used for this purpose.
