The use of an effective switching topology, instead of a classic transformer, allowed for obtaining high current efficiency, compared to typical power supplies of this type with performance at the level of 1..2.5 A.
The popular 5.5/2.1 mm plug enables trouble-free operation of the power supply with consumer electronics and household appliances, small studio equipment, as well as some single-board minicomputers or evaluation kits.
