Although polylactide is a material with very good resistance to damage, we can also make modifications to our object at the final processing stage, after the actual 3D printing process has been completed. The surfaces of objects printed from PLA filament can be easily glued together and sanded. In addition, models printed from PLA can also be easily painted with acrylic paint, without worrying about chipping.
Spectrum PLA - environmentally friendly filament
The Spectrum PLA filament in Lion Orange is made of polylactic acid. It is a polymer of natural origin that is fully biodegradable. Unlike filaments made of synthetic materials (e.g. ABS), the Lion Orange PLA filament has a lower melting temperature and is easier to process. In addition, the Spectrum PLA filament is non-toxic and therefore, during the printing process with this filament, there is no need to connect a fume extraction system.
